Meditation

Waking up early is beneficial for health and spiritual well-being because it allows you to align with the natural cycles of the day and take advantage of the quiet “Satvic time” before it’s busy. This time is ideal for yoga, meditation, and establishing a grounding routine, which helps calm the mind and increase mental clarity. Waking early also supports digestive health by allowing for a longer fasting period before breakfast, which can lead to more efficient metabolism and weight management.
- Satvic time:The early morning, known as Brahma Muhurta, is believed to be a time of pure and serene energy, promoting balance and harmony.
- Spiritual connection:Waking during this time can help you connect with your inner self and a higher consciousness, as the veil between the physical and invisible realms is thought to be thinner.
- Mental clarity:The calm environment allows for mental clarity, focus, and setting positive intentions for the day ahead.
- Emotional resilience:Starting the day with reflection and gratitude can set a positive tone and enhance emotional resilience, reducing stress.
Meditation
One of the recommended morning practices that sets you up for success is meditation: create a meditation corner in your home ahead of time. Nothing fancy, but allocating a specific space to this practice will help establish it.
There are many forms of meditation, I recommend starting with an active form of meditation like mantra meditation: repeat the mantra Hari Om Tat Sat while listening to the video below, if you have a set of chanting beads, you can say one mantra “Hari Om tat Sat” per bead.
Don’t let not having chanting beads stop you, you can just repeat the mantra out loud without one as well – using beads or “mala” in sanskrit helps focus the mind.
Here’s a quick meditation technique that you can use throughout the day.
