Indiaveda.com stock some Organic India spices, truly superior quality – use coupon code “SINCOLORANTES” at checkout to get a discount on your purchase, you can get Golden Ghee directly from them as well a variety of Tulsi teas and other self care products such a copper tongue scraper, copper water bottle, sesame oil, etc.
I’m a bit of a spice freak and prefer to buy spices whole and grind them in my spice grinder, not only do you get more flavour out of them but also more prana (life force) and you also maximise their medicinal properties. Certain spices loose their magic very quickly, ground coriander, for example, is basically worthless, freshly ground coriander seeds on the other hand boast an amazing citrusy bouquet The difference between good food and amazing food often lies in the subtle art of condiments.
Cardamom (whole pods) / cardamomo entero
Coriander seeds (whole)
Fennel seeds
Fenugreek seeds
Cumin seeds
Ground turmeric
Cinnamon (ground or whole)
Tej patra (Indian bay leaf) or bay leaf
Ground nutmeg
Black peppercorns
