Welcome – Pre Class
Thank you for taking care of yourself and venturing out to create balanced holiday menus that are designed to bring you physical and emotional enjoyment.
This year, your Ayurvedic delights will leave all your guests feeling well fed in body and soul. Cooking according to Ayurveda is nothing more than aligning yourself with nature and using the 5 elements in the kitchen to create harmony in body and mind through food.
I’ve selected delicious recipes from all over the world that honour Ayurvedic wisdom, they are a reflection of my own international, mixed-race background. In a year where travel is limited, we can still explore the planet by savouring foods from other cultures.
Download this ebook with your shopping list for Class 1 – buy your ingredients in time for December 18th, class starts at 18:00 Spanish Time. Please log into the virtual class room 15 minutes in avance so we can start on time 😉
Shopping ListThis ebook lists where you can buy your ingredients. You’ll get a DISCOUNT at the following online shops, so don’t worry, stocking your Ayurvedic pantry need not be complicated if you buy everything at INDIAVEDA, SAVOURSHOP, EL MOLINO and AYURVEDA AUTENTICO:
You can purchase ayurvedic ghee, tulsi teas and some organic spices (cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, and dry ginger) at www.indiaveda.es Use coupon code SINCOLORANTES and get a 5% discount.
Tandoori masala, more exotic spices (coriander seeds, kalonji, asafoetida/hing, ajwain), basmati rice and “normal” ghee are available at www.savourshop.es They’ll give you a 10% discount with coupon code SINCOLORANTES10
If you’re in Málaga, I highly recommend El Molino in Coín, they have long list of organic products including a great selection of freshly milled flours as well as other healthful ingredients for your pantry. Mention coupon SINCOLORANTES for a discount on your purchase both in store and online.
Ayurveda Auténtico stocks a very pure asafoetida/hing in resin form as well as a great selection of Ayurvedic herbal supplements and oils. Their website is http://www.econostrum.es
These 4 shops are small family-run businesses with a big heart, I feel its important to give such companies our support.
Please do your shopping this weekend to ensure your deliveries arrive on time.
IMPORTANT! Please read the recipe ebook before shopping so you can customise your cooking to your type of digestion.
Here are the recipes we’ll be cooking together, go through them carefully and prepare your ingredients before class, it will be hard for you to follow the class if you don’t. This means peeling and chopping your vegetables, washing your pulses and measuring out the rest of your ingredients. Don’t forget to roast your squash and apple before class as well as toasting your chickpea flour in advance too.
